Margaret River: A Wine Lover's Dream
Some might think I'm crazy for flying to Australia for a long weekend trip (from HK), but I think it's brilliant! The flights are super convenient ( if you don't mind red-eye) and three days is more than enough time to explore Margaret River! Margaret River is about two hour drive from Perth International Airport. My boyfriend and I rented the most stellar beach side Airbnb near Prevelly beach where we would do our morning runs. I highly recommend renting a car for this trip because public transportation is scarce (you don't need an international driver license). Margaret River offers a copious amount of wineries and breweries to visit and each has its own uniqueness. The food options in Margaret River are endless from amazing pizzas to fine dining at wine estates. Keep reading to find out my top FIVE favorite things to do or eat in Margaret River!
Top Five Things to Do or Eat:
1). Margaret River Farmer's Market (Only on Saturdays) - The market sells everything from fresh ingredients raw food to cooked food by the locals. You won't need a whole day here but it would be excellent to pop by for a morning stroll and pick up some breakfast I had the best green juice ever here!
(Address: Lot 272 Bussell Hwy, Margaret River WA 6285, Australia)
2). White Elephant Café - Really cool place to grab brunch after a morning run/stroll on Prevelly Beach. My boyfriend and I had a satisfying breakfast with stunning views of the beach. (Address: Gnarabup Rd, Margaret River WA 6285, Australia)
3). Voyager Estate - Beautiful wine estate with manicured garden. Make sure to do the wine tasting by the fireplace. I had one of the best cabernet sauvignon here!
(Address: Address: 41 Stevens Rd, Margaret River WA 6285, Australia)
4). Beer Farm - Great beers on tap and the back drop is phenomenal. Definitely try their cider and plays some pool. I didn't try their food because we already ate but it looked amazing.
(Address: 177 Gale Rd, Metricup WA 6280, Australia)
5). Aravina Estate - Not only is the estate gorgeous and picturesque, they offer a free wine tasting!
(Address: 61 Thornton Rd, Yallingup WA 6282, Australia)
